All Blacks prop Hoskins Sotutu has extended his stay with Blues after signing a two-year contract with the Super Rugby club until 2024 season.

Sotutu made his professional rugby debut with provincial side Auckland in 2018 and went on to make his Super Rugby debut with Blues a year later. He has featured for Blues in 37 games.

The 23-year-old also had represented New Zealand Schools in 2016 and New Zealand Under-20s in 2018.

“I just enjoy coming to work every day," he told the club's official website.

"There’s a great feeling in the club. We are lucky to have such great coaches and it’s awesome to be part of the Blues family.”

Sotutu made his New Zealand debut during the 2020 Rugby Championship game against Australia and has gone on to make 10 appearances since then.

“Hoskins has all the skills and attributes to become one of the game’s best No 8s. He has size, speed and supreme skills,” said Blues Head Coach, Leon MacDonald.

“Hoskins continues to amaze us with his skillset. He is a good young man and a dedicated athlete. The rugby world could be at his feet if he can realise all of his talents.”
