Harlequins have confirmed forwards coach Graham Rowntree has left the club due to 'personal reasons'.

The former England international joined Twickenham Stoop in 2016 after spending eight years with the red rose team as forwards coach.

"Rowntree has been forwards coach at Harlequins for the past two seasons and he has been a very prominent and popular figure in the rugby department," read a statement on the club's official website.

"Harlequins would like to thank Graham for his great contribution and absolute commitment during his time at the club.

"The club is incredibly grateful to Graham for all that he has given Harlequins and wishes him well for the future."

Meanwhile, England defence coach Paul Gustard will take over as the new head of rugby of Harlequins after the end of the ongoing South African tour.
