Glasgow lock Kiran McDonald becomes the latest player to join Wasps for the 2022/23 season.

Having played for Glasgow Academicals and Glasgow Hawks early in his career, the 27-year-old made his senior debut for Glasgow Warriors in 2016 and has made close to 50 appearances for them.

He has been included in Scotland squad for the upcoming third round of the Six Nations clash against France.

“I am very excited to be joining Wasps. The brand of rugby the Club play is great to watch, and I am looking forward to being a part of the Wasps family," he told the club's official website.

“The ethos of the Club is one that feels like a good fit for me, and I hope I can contribute to some exciting wins next season.

“I can’t wait to wait to feel the buzz at Coventry Building Society Arena next season!”

Wasps Men’s Head Coach Lee Blackett is delighted to have secured the services of McDonald.

“We are thrilled to be adding Kiran to our squad for 2022/23.

“We have been following his progress for the last couple of years and Kiran is currently enjoying his best season so far at Glasgow.

“Kiran is a great athlete with a lot of potential, he has the ability to play at six or second row, that flexibility will be vital for us over the course of next season.”
