France climbed above England in the latest World Rugby rankings after another strong Six Nations performance, while Scotland also improved their position following a key victory.

France Rise In World Rugby Rankings

France moved up to third place after a convincing win over Wales, continuing a strong start to the championship. The result followed their earlier victory over Ireland and boosted their ranking points total enough to overtake England.

South Africa remain at number one in the standings, with New Zealand holding second place. Ireland stay fifth despite registering a win in the same round of fixtures.

England Drop After Scotland Defeat

England slipped one place to fourth following defeat in the Calcutta Cup match. The loss allowed France to move ahead in the table while affecting England’s ranking points.

Scotland benefited from their victory by climbing one place to ninth, swapping positions with Italy. The movement reflected the impact of head-to-head results during the Six Nations window.

Overall Standings Update

Argentina remain sixth, Australia seventh and Fiji eighth with no positional changes. Wales stay 11th after another loss, while Japan remain just behind them in 12th.
