England's Lewis Ludlow to face independent disciplinary hearing

England flanker Lewis Ludlow will face an independent disciplinary hearing after he was cited following the recently concluded fixture against Canada at Twickenham Stadium.

The 26-year-old captained the red rose team to 70-14 win last weekend but was yellow carded in the 30th minute for striking Canada's Jake Ilnicki with the knee.

Even though Ludlow was sin-binned during the game, the citing officer deems the action warrants a red card. As a result, he will now face a disciplinary hearing on Thursday.

Prior to the game against Canada, Eddie Jones' men also recorded a 43-29 win over the USA earlier in the month.
