Scotland will miss the services of wing Duhan van der Merwe for the fourth round Six Nations game against Italy following his three-week suspension.

The 26-year-old was sent-off while playing for Worcester Warriors in the recently concluded Gallagher Premiership game against Worcester Warriors for a dangerous tackle on London Irish's Kyle Rowe.

Earlier, Scotland coach Gregor Townsend added Jonny Gray, Adam Hastings, Ross Thompson and Glen Young to the squad ahead of the weekend's encounter.
