Doncaster Knights appoint Ben Murphy as club captain for 2024/25 season

Doncaster Knights have confirmed the appointment of second row Ben Murphy as the captain for the upcoming 2024/25 season.

Murphy was a product of the regional pathways in Wales, beginning his rugby career at Abercynon for their junior squads, and played there until he was 18.

In 2014, he joined Merthyr RFC playing in the Welsh Championship. He made a shift to Cardiff in 2017 and after featuring 19 times for the province he joined Doncaster during the 2021/22 season.

He has overall played 43 times for Doncaster Knights and is one of the longest serving member in the current squad.

Doncaster Knights will kick start the new Championship season with a clash against Ampthill on 21st September.
