Former England prop David Flatman and Presenter Mark Durden-Smith will be teaming up to host the Premiership Rugby highlights on Channel 5 for the upcoming season.

The duo have been working together since 2013 providing insight on every game happening in the league. Premiership Rugby, Anglo-Welsh Cup and Premiership Rugby 7s all will be part of the Channel 5's highlight package.

Flatman, who enjoyed a 14 year professional rugby career with Saracens and later Bath combined has excelled in his new role as presenter. The 37-year-old has been capped eight times for England between 2000 and 2002 and was also named by Telegraph Sport as their 5th best pundit on television.

Mark Durden-Smith has been presenting across sports and lifestyle TV shows for over two decades and brings a wealth of experience to the Premiership Rugby highlights show. Mark is seasoned in hosting rugby related shows; he was previously one of the main hosts for ITV’s Rugby World Cup 2015 coverage and was also the main host for Sky’s BAFTA winning rugby coverage.

The upcoming season will see Exeter Chiefs looking to defend the Premiership title with Saracens and Wasps looking to prove a point. London Irish also managed to make a comeback to the top tier, displacing Bristol, after their successful run in the RFU Championship in the previous season.

The Premiership Rugby highlights Show airs on Channel5 from Sunday 3rd September at 8pm.
