Australia head coach Dave Rennie has hinted at changes in the matchday squad as they look to lock horns with the All Blacks in the second round of the Rugby Championship scheduled to be played in Perth.

Rennie had already revealed that Lukhan Salakaia-Loto and Hunter Paisami are on a paternity leave and are unavailable for the 5th September encounter while Allan Alaalatoa is also likely to miss the game.

"We've always said we're going to pick on performance. There were a big chunk of guys who performed well, especially in the first 40 minutes," he told Rugby Australia's official website.

"We'll pick guys who have earned the right to be picked for this squad, so there's likely going to be a couple of changes."

With James O'Connor out injured, Noah Lolesio took the kicking responsibility while Matt Toomua provided cover. Rennie had already hinted that the return of Quade Cooper could not be ruled out. Also returning would be Feleti Kaitu'u, who has overcome a calf injury.

"Feleti was originally part of the squad, got injured very early on, unfortunately, and it's been a long road to recovery," he added.

"When we were in Brisbane, we sent him back here [to Perth] in the hope he might be available for the All Black Test to be played here. We brought Jordy [Jordan Uelese] in as a replacement, but now he is right, Jordy's exited".

New Zealand had already claimed the Bledisloe Cup for the 19th consecutive year following their back to back wins at Eden Park earlier in the month.
