Former England international Danny Cipriani has confirmed that he will be leaving Bath Rugby at the end of the ongoing season.

The 34-year-old had played for Wasps, Sale Sharks, Melbourne Rebels and Gloucester before heading to The Recreation Ground last year. Since then he has gone on to play 14 times for the club.

Cipriani also played 16 times for England between 2008 and 2018 and has featured in over 200 Premiership games.

"My last couple games in England are fast arriving!!! I’ve decided to move on to experience a new country and make great memories with my Family," he posted on his official Instagram account.

"Timing is key, play too early and the defence can read it. Play too late and you’ll never get the pass away. You’ve got to feel it then react accordingly!”

"Over the years I’ve accrued some amazing loyal supporters. I’m grateful. From the bottom of my heart. Thank you…"

The news of Cipriani's departure follows after the club announced the signing of Piers Francis from Northampton Saints while they also have the service of Orlando Bailey.

Bath are languishing at the bottom of the Gallagher Premiership table after managing just four wins from 21 games.
