Waratahs 22-41 Crusaders, Allianz Stadium
Scorecard

Crusaders came up with a clinical performance to secure a 22-41 bonus point victory against Waratahs in the Super Rugby clash at Allianz Stadium on Sunday.

This is Crusaders' sixth win in as many games this season and have displaced Chiefs from the top position in New Zealand Conference while Waratahs are at second in the Australian Group.

Wing George Bridge (9'), fullback David Kaetau Havili (12'), centre Tim Bateman (12') were the try scorers for Crusaders in the first half with fly half Mitch Hunt adding extras on two occasions to take them to 19 points.

Michael Hooper (22') was the lone try scorer for Waratahs in the first 40 minute with wing Reece Robinson scoring a conversion and a penalty as they trailed by nine points.

Bateman crossed over for the second time to extend the gap to 16 points but Waratahs bounced back with touchdowns from Jake Gordon and Taqele Naiyaravoro as they narrowed down the gap to just four points.

However, replacements Bryn Hall and Ben Funnell strolled past the post in the final 10 minutes to ensure a 19 point win for Crusaders. They now have a two point lead over second placed Chiefs.
