Bristol Bears director of rugby Pat Lam described the club's win over Bath Rugby in the recently concluded Gallagher Premiership clash as 'extremely pleasing'.

While Bath's only response came through a penalty goal from Rhys Priestland, Bristol dominated the opening half with tries from Luke Morahan, Charles Piutau and Andy Uren while Bryan Bryne also scored a double to take their lead to 34-3.

Semi Radradra extended Bristol's lead further with his brilliant touchdown in the second half while they were also awarded a penalty try with Josh Bayliss sin-binned for Bath in the 54th minute as Lam's side completed a 43-point victory to consolidate their position at the top in the Gallagher Premiership.

"It was our best half of attacking rugby. There were so many ways that we attacked - it wasn't just running. We were dominant up front and mauled too. You can run through, round and over a team, and we did all of that," Lam told the official website of the club.

"We've a long way to go. All we are doing is focusing on our journey, and our journey is to get better, and if we do that the rest will take care of itself.

"The minute we start looking at the table and worry about other teams, they will start to overtake us.

“It's a tremendous result, and the first half was extremely pleasing, but it's one result. We will take the learnings from it and move on to Sale next week."
