Bristol Bears back Tom Jordan has been handed a suspension following his red card against Exeter Chiefs in the Premiership.

The 27-year-old was sent off after just 20 minutes in Bristol’s narrow 18-14 win on Saturday for a high tackle on Exeter forward Ross Vintcent. An independent disciplinary panel confirmed that Jordan will serve a ban of at least three matches.

The sanction was originally set at four games but can be reduced to three if Jordan completes the World Rugby Coaching Intervention Programme, aimed at improving player safety and tackling technique.

As a result, the Scotland international will be unavailable for Bristol’s Premiership clash against Gloucester on Friday.

He will also miss further league and cup fixtures against Bath later this month.

Matches missed:

17.10.2025 v Gloucester Rugby
25.10.2025 v Bath Rugby
31.10.2025 v Bath Rugby (Prem Rugby Cup)
7.11.2025 Bristol Bears v Argentina XV or 8.11.2025 Scotland v New Zealand (subject to completion of CIP)
