The All Blacks will open their November tour against Ireland in Chicago, with head coach Scott Robertson stressing the importance of set-piece detail and skill execution.

The match takes place at Soldier Field, the venue of Ireland’s historic first victory over New Zealand in 2016.

Robertson confirmed that all players in the squad are fit and available for selection.

He said the team had focused heavily on scrums and lineouts in recent weeks after mixed performances during the Rugby Championship.

“The pack care deeply about their craft and they work a lot at it,” he explained, adding that every opponent demands different adjustments and discipline.

He also acknowledged the challenge Ireland will pose, highlighting their organisation, kicking game and experienced core of players.

“They’re a well-coached team with a lot of cohesion, and we expect the best out of them,” Robertson said.

Despite being ten Tests into their season, Robertson emphasised that results will depend on maintaining consistency.

He pointed to the need for relentless pressure and stronger second-half performances, saying the team’s progress since last year gives them confidence.

“We’re not far away. When we get our attack right and defend with discipline, we’ll match anyone. The exciting part is doing it consistently,” he concluded.
