Worcester Warriors 27-21 Ospreys, Sixways

Worcester Warriors resisted second half fightback from Ospreys as they sealed a 27-21 win in their European Rugby Challenge Cup face-off at Sixways on Saturday.

This is Worcester's second win from as many games as they top Pool 2 with nine points while Ospreys are at second with six points.

A converted try from Jamie Shillock in the 12th minute set the tone for the Warriors as they raced to a seven point lead that got doubled five minutes later with a touchdown from Wynand Olivier . Shillcock was once again spot on with the conversion.

It was total domination from the hosts as they claimed 21 unanswered points with their third try coming from Jack Singleton in the 38th minute that was improved by Shillock.

Cory Allen gave some respite for the visitors as he helped them get off the mark with a 44th minute try and 14 minutes later it was Rob McCusker's turn to go over the line. James Hook and Cai Evans added the extras as the gap between the two teams came down to seven points.

Shillcock with his first penalty goal in the 65th minute stretched Worcester's lead to 10 points but Allen with his second try in the 74th minute kept Ospreys in the game. Evans with his conversion had the gap down to three points but the final push did not come from the Welsh side as Shillcock kicked a final minute penalty goal to steer the Premiership side to a 27-21 victory.
