Tyrrells have confirmed that they will end the sponsor of Women's Premier 15s at the end of its three-year contract in August.

The partnership was launched in 2017 when the league was relaunched in 2017 but now Tyrrells has decided not to renew the contract after the 2020 season was declared null and void following the pandemic coronavirus.

Chief commercial officer for England Rugby Simon Massie-Taylor thanked Tyrrells for their support and said the Rugby Football Union is now actively looking for a new sponsor.

“We would like to thank Tyrrells for their significant support in championing the women’s game over the past three years as the first ever title sponsor of the women’s top league," said Massie-Taylor.

"The partnership saw record viewing figures and attendances at matches and more importantly created a lasting legacy, inspiring more women and girls across the country to get involved in the game.”

The competition has gained momentum over the years with the viewing figures of 2019 final were more than double those of 2018 with live attendance up 27% while throughout the 2019/20 season over 4,00,000 people tuned in to watch the game live.
