The Stoop will remain the home of the JAECOO Premiership Women’s Rugby Final through to 2029 after Harlequins and PWR agreed a new three-year deal covering the 2027, 2028 and 2029 showpieces.
The Stoop secures three-year PWR Final deal
The agreement follows the successful 2026 final at The Stoop, where over 8,000 spectators watched Saracens beat Trailfinders Women 52-14.
The 2026 event marked the first time in a decade that the Premiership Women’s Rugby domestic final had been staged at The Stoop.
The 2027 JAECOO PWR Final has already been confirmed for Sunday, June 27, with the league aiming to build a consistent annual event at the South-West London venue.
Harlequins target long-term growth
Harlequins Chief Executive Laurie Dalrymple said the success of the 2026 final had exceeded expectations and believes the long-term agreement creates an opportunity to develop the event further.
“This new agreement gives us the opportunity to build something truly special,” Dalrymple said.
He added that retaining the final at one venue should help improve the matchday experience, grow attendances and establish the event more firmly in the sporting calendar.
Dalrymple also highlighted The Stoop’s history of supporting women’s rugby and said Harlequins were looking forward to continuing their partnership with JAECOO PWR through 2029.
"This new agreement gives us the opportunity to build something truly special. By creating a permanent home for the final over the next three years, we can continue to enhance the matchday experience, grow attendances and establish an event that is firmly marked in the sporting calendar.
"The Stoop has a rich history of supporting the women's game and we are excited to continue working alongside JAECOO PWR to showcase the very best of women's rugby through to 2029."
PWR aims to establish flagship annual event
JAECOO PWR Executive Chair Genevieve Shore said establishing a consistent home for the final could help build audience habits and strengthen the sense of occasion around the fixture.
“The success of the 2026 Final showed us what is possible when you create a world-class event and give supporters a venue they can identify as the home of the Final,” Shore said.
She added that the league wants the JAECOO PWR Final to develop into one of the standout events in the sporting calendar.
