Wales head coach Wayne Pivac has urged his side to improve further as they look to clinch the Grand Slam when they face France in the final round of the Six Nations.

Pivac had a tough outing since he took over Warren Gatland post the 2019 World Cup with Wales managing just three wins - two against Italy and one against Georgia - in 10 matches.

However, Wales have turned it around in the ongoing Six Nations Championship as they are the only team in the competition to remain unbeaten registering wins against Ireland, Scotland, England and Italy and are positioned at the top of the table.

"We need to improve. We need to improve each week," Pivac told following his side's 48-7 win over Azzurri where they scored seven tries.

"We'll review the performance and we know we'll be in for a massive game. We've been on the receiving end of the result both times against France.

"No fans neutralises it a bit.

"We've been to Paris in the autumn so that's a good thing. If you asked the side if we'd take four from four and travelling to France for the Grand Slam, I think you'd know the answer."

Pivac also credited the players and support staff for the turnaround after a difficult last year and is now hoping to finish the tournament on a high when they face Les Bleus in Paris on 20th March.

"It's chalk and cheese," Pivac said.

"We know the pain we went through in the autumn with the results. But we're seeing the players coming through from the autumn now and doing well.

"We're pleased to be four from four and able to talk about the opportunity of a Grand Slam."
