Wasps have announced the signing of fly-half Will Haydon-Wood from Premiership rivals Newcastle Falcons for the 2022/23 season.
Haydon-Wood joined Newcastle's senior Academy in the summer of 2019 after graduating through the junior academy. He went on to make his first team debut for the Falcons during the European Challenge Cup victory away to Castres in December 2020 with his Premiership debut coming in May 2021.
He has appeared 13 times for Newcastle and scored 65 points in the Premiership this season and was also part of the Sedbergh School team which won back-to-back Rosslyn Park 7s titles.
“I am delighted to have signed with Wasps ahead of the 2022/23 season," he told the club's official website.
"I can’t wait to pull on the famous Black and Gold shirt and play my first game in front of the Wasps fans at Coventry Building Society Arena.
“Wasps have a very talented playing squad, and I’m looking forward to being part of it next season.”
Wasps are positioned ninth in the Gallagher Premiership table with 10 wins from 20 matches. They will be taking on Biarritz Olympique in the round of 16 European Challenge Cup clash on 15th April.
