The Wallabies will hold a short national camp in Sydney in early January as preparations begin for the 2026 international season.

A group of 40 players will assemble alongside the national coaching and high-performance staff on January 5, spending three days together before returning to their Super Rugby Pacific clubs.

The January gathering is designed as a structured checkpoint rather than a full training camp. It will include a detailed review of the 2025 Test season, allowing players and coaches to reflect on performances, identify lessons, and align expectations for the year ahead.

The camp will also focus on national physical benchmarks, medical assessments and welfare checks as players return from their off-season break.

“The couple of days we have together in early January will provide a final opportunity to look back on, and to learn from, a demanding 2025 Test campaign," said head coach Joe Schmidt.

“It also provides a chance to complete some national testing and check in with the players from a medical perspective before they return to their Super Rugby Pacific clubs ahead of the 2026 season.”
