Wales have been dealt injury blows ahead of the second round clash in the Six Nations against Scotland with four players unavailable for the encounter.

Lydiate, who played his first game for Wales in two years was forced to leave the field in the 12th minute in the tournament opener against Ireland with an anterior cruciate ligament injury and is set to miss the remainder of the season.

"We watched him a lot over the Christmas period and he's been the in-form six in Wales," said Wales defence coach Gethin Jenkins.

"To see that happen so innocently, the first thing you do is look at the clock and it's probably 10 minutes gone and you knew he was going off.

"I was gutted for him, obviously I have played with him, and you hope he gets well soon. It's a tough pill to swallow for him and for us as a squad."

Also missing the 13th February game will be Johnny Williams and Hallam Amos, who suffered head injuries during the match against Ireland while Tomos Williams is expected to be on the sidelines for next few games with a hamstring injury.

Meanwhile, George North, who scratched his eye during the second half of the game is expected to be available while Liam Williams has completed his two-week suspension.

Wales are at the second place in the Six Nations table following their 21-16 win over Ireland in the opening game.
