Former Fiji international Vereniki Goneva will switch from English Premiership club Harlequins to Pro D2 side Stade Montois in the 2020/21 season.

Goneva joined the Quins in 2019 and played three Premiership games for them. Prior to his association with Harlequins, he also played for Leicester Tigers and Newcastle Falcons and has featured in 117 Premiership games for the three clubs combined.

He had also represented Tarbes and US Colomiers int he past and now will play in the second tier French competition.

The 36-year-old made his Test debut for Fiji in 2007 and had played 59 games for the Pacific Island side scoring 22 tries. He has also represented them in the 2011, 2015 and 2019 World Cup squads.

Goneva announced his retirement from international rugby at the end of the World Cup in Japan last year.
