Val Rapava-Ruskin pens new Gloucester deal

Gloucester Rugby have confirmed loosehead prop Val Rapava-Ruskin has penned a new deal with the Gallagher Premiership club.

Having started his career with Blackheath and then Western Province, his first professional appearance came for Worcester Warriors in 2014 and played over 30 times for the club before switching to the Cherry and Whites in 2017.

Since heading to Kingsholm, the 28-year-old made over 50 appearances for Gloucester that includes 22 Premiership games. In June 2019 he was among the four uncapped players to be part of England's Preliminary World Cup training squad.

“We are delighted that Val has agreed a new deal at Gloucester Rugby," said the club chief operating officer Alex Brown.

“Val remains an important part of the future with this Club, and his presence in the pack is going to be a key component for years to come.”
