USA prop Paul Mullen to join Newcastle Falcons for first four months of new season

USA international Paul Mullen is set to make his debut in the Gallagher Premiership after he was signed by Newcastle Falcons for the first four months of the 2018/19 season.

Mullen was part of Munster U18, U19 and U20s programs and shifted to USA for higher studies. He made his debut for USA Under 20 side in 2011.

His international debut for USA came in June and he featured in all three Tests against Canada, Scotland and Russia.

"Paul's presence will further bolster our front-row resources as we bid to improve on last season," Newcastle Falcons director of rugby Dean Richards said.

Newcastle Falcons will take on Premiership champions Saracens in the opening game of the 2018/19 season at Kingston Park on 2nd September.
