USA international Joe Taufete'e will head to French club Lyon ahead of the 2020/21 season season.
Taufete'e has played 27 Tests for USA since his international debut in 2015 and has already scored 20 tries. He was also part of the 2015 and 2019 World Cup squads of USA where he played five games combined across both the editions. He was shortlisted for the World Rugby Player of the Year last year.
He started his senior debut with San Diego Breakers in 2016 but shifted to Worcester Warriors ahead of the 2016/17 season and has made 46 appearances including 36 in the Premiership.
“Joe has been an integral part of Warriors for some years and the contribution he has made is greatly valued and appreciated,” said Warriors’ Director of Rugby Alan Solomons.
“Joe is not only a first-class rugby player, but an outstanding bloke and team man, who will always be welcome here at Sixways.
“From a personal point of view, it has been a pleasure to work with Joe. We wish him all the best in his new venture.”
Lyon are positioned second in the Top 14 table with 12 wins from 16 games.
