Ulster head coach Richie Murphy reckons his side will be ready to embrace with the underdog tag as they face rivals Leinster in the quarter-final of the United Rugby Championship at Aviva Stadium on Saturday.
Leinster have won the most domestic trophy with eight titles and had an impressive campaign this year with 13 wins from 18 matches apart from reaching the final of the Investec Champions Cup which they lost to eventual champions Toulouse.
Munster have also been impressive as they finished at the top of the table in the league stage of the United Rugby Championship that also includes two win against Leinster. Nevertheless, Murphy believes the pressure of expectation will be on Leo Cullen's men.
"A free shot," Murphy said about the quarter-final against Leinster.
"It's hard to win qualifying games when you go away from home. Obviously we’re not going that far, we’re going to the Aviva.
"We’ll go into it with confidence but we’re going to play a really good side that are hurting so we need to put them under pressure and that will be part of the plan, what can we do to apply as much pressure as possible to Leinster because realistically, I don’t think anyone will give us a shot down there."
