Ulster 8 - 0 Ospreys, Belfast

Ulster have managed to keep their hope of a play-off spot alive as they scraped past Ospreys with a 8-0 win in their Pro 14 face-off on Friday.

Ulster now have 51 points as they move to the fourth position in Conference B while Opsreys are at fifth place in Conference A.

In a game, where points were hard to come by John Cooney kicked a sixth minute penalty from a central position to get his team to a three-point lead by the end of six minutes. With Ulster trying to press on, their opening try was on the cards from Jacob Stockdale before he was tackled by Bradley Davies.

Dan Biggar had an opportunity to level the score for Ospreys but he missed out a penalty kick from 25 metres and to make things worse the visitors were denied a try after the TMO spotted a neck roll by Alun Wyn Jones.

Having a slender lead of three points, Ospreys had an opportunity to break free when Jeff Hassler was sin-binned in the 58th minute and they almost got their opening try when Nick Timoney was inches from the line before Owen Watkin halted his momentum.

Nevertheless, with one left, Stockdale finally managed to break the shackles and score the only try of the game to deny Ospreys a bonus point and keep Ulster in the hunt for the play-off spot.
