The TRU team have counted their votes and put together their Gallagher Premiership team of the 20/21 season!

1. Joe Marler (Harlequins) - Marler has been a linchpin for Quins all season, destroying oppositions scrums on his way to a MOTM performance in their Prem Final win.

2. Luke Cowan-Dickie (Exeter Chiefs) hasn't played all that much this season, but he has been unstoppable, abrasive, and a constant threat anywhere on the park when he has.

Notable omission - Akker van der Merwe

3. John Afoa (Bristol Bears) - Another talismanic prop in the league, proving age is just a number as he produces impressive performances week-in, week-out for the Bears.

4. David Ribbans (Northampton Saints) - Has become a mainstay in the Saints' pack, energetic and athletic for a man with such a huge frame, should be capped by Jones soon!

Notable omission - Dave Attwood

5. Jean-Luc du Preez (Sale Sharks) - Very adaptable in the 2nd or back row, the South African heavyweight is a monster on the field and breathtakingly physical in close quarters.

Notable omission - Chris Vui

6. Dave Ewers (Exeter Chiefs) - A huge loss for the Chiefs in the FInal, carries for days and loves a latch 5m from the opposition line, providing plenty of mass to all rugby situations.

7. Sam Simmonds (Exeter Chiefs) - Moved him onto the flank but couldn't be left out with his form and a record-breaking 20 tries. What a player... He earned his spot on the Lions' tour!

Notable omission - Tom Curry

8. Alex Dombrandt (Harlequins) - An amazing rugby brain and expert timing to break his way through any opposition defence, the bloke was on fire during Quins Prem Final win.

9. Danny Care (Harlequins) - Another player defying age with his consistent passion and energy levels, keeps the tempo high and challenges defences, also a 2-time Prem winner.

Notable omission - Faf de Klerk

10. Marcus Smith (Harlequins) - Premiership MVP, the ability to turn any situation on its head, dazzling feet, X-factor touches, golden boot winner and Premiership final winner.

Notable omission - AJ MacGinty

11. Tom O'Flaherty (Exeter Chiefs) - Scoring comes second nature to this winger. Top of metres gained, clean breaks and defenders beaten tells you all you need to know about the Chiefs flyer.

12. Piers O'Conor (Bristol Bears) - Has risen to the top of that unbelievable Bears backline often flying below the radar, but the 20/21 season showed just how well he can play.

Notable omission - Andre Esterhuizen

13. Semi Radradra (Bristol Bears) - Smart decisions, offloads for days and makes his way through any defence, a mercurial talent that amazes in a backline littered with rugby A-Listers.

Notable omission - Curtis Rona

14. Ollie Hassell-Collins (London Irish) - Shines for an underperforming London Irish, confident with the ball in hand, assured in his defensive duties, and deceptively powerful.

15. Stuart Hogg (Exeter Chiefs) - Hogg is capable of providing the try-scoring spark to any fixture, huge boot, huge passion and a hell of an attacking game sees him finish our XV.

Notable omission - Max Malins
