Wales prop Tomas Francis will remain with Exeter Chiefs after signing a three-year contract extension with the Aviva Premiership club.
After making his professional rugby debut in 2012 with Doncaster Knights, Francis made a switch to the London Scottish following which he joined Exeter in 2014. During his two-year stint with Exeter, Francis has played 32 Aviva Premiership games and the new contract extension will keep him committed with the club until the 2018/19 season.
Exeter head coach Rob Baxter confirmed the contract extension and believes Francis has a bright future ahead.
"In Tom's last contract, the club had a clause in there that we could extend the contract if certain terms were met," he told the club's official website.
"We have decided to go with that, and have extended his deal by a further two years beyond the end of the 2016-17 season.
"I know he is delighted with that, and we are obviously very pleased that a player who came to us from the Championship and has been with us for a couple of seasons now sees his long-term future with us.
"Hopefully we can help keep developing him as not only a Premiership and European quality player, but also as an international."
The 29-year-old made his debut for Wales in August 2015 and has gone to play 14 Tests with his last appearance coming in the recently concluded series against the All Blacks.
Recently Exeter have also extended the contracts of Don Armand, Alec Hepburn, Mitch Lees, Thomas Waldrom and Harry Williams as well.
