Argentina's preparation for the upcoming Rugby Championship has been dented further with three more players tested positive for Covid-19.

The news follows after Argentine Rugby Union had already revealed 11 players and four support staff were tested positive for novel coronavirus in which two players - full-back Emiliano Boffelli and winger Bautista Delguy - have returned back to the squad after recovery.

The latest to join the list for positive cases are Julian Montoya, Sebastian Cancelliere and Domingo Miotti and they will now face isolation along with their close contacts.

A statement released by the board confirmed that 33 players are ready for contact training.

"There are now 33 players who are able to engage in physical activity," read the statement.

Last week head coach Mario Ledesma along with assistant coaches Nicolas Fernandez Miranda and Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe also returned a positive result for Covid-19.

The Rugby Championship is scheduled to kick-off from 7th November with Australia being the host country.
