Talking Rugby Union Exclusive - Pete Anglesea

Talking Rugby Union’s Austin Halewood caught up with Sale Sharks Head coach Pete Anglesea at the club’s pre-season press day earlier in the season.

Anglesea, who won 133 caps for the Sharks, joined the coaching staff after his retirement in 2006. Since, the Bolton-born back-rower has had a number of roles at the club and community before he was made Head coach in 2010.

The former flanker talks to Talking Rugby Union about Sale’s preparations for the season and the difficulties, as a forward, the side will face after the new IRB scrum laws have been put in place.

Anglesea added that the club “are in better shape going into the start of the season than they were at the same point last year.”
