Ireland internationals Tadhg Beirne and Garry Ringrose have committed their futures to Irish Rugby, signing contract extensions with the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU).
Munster captain Beirne has agreed to a two-year extension, keeping him with the national team until the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia. Meanwhile, Leinster centre Ringrose has signed a long-term deal running until the end of the 2027-28 season.
Beirne, a versatile forward capable of playing in both the second row and flanker positions, has earned 58 international caps and has been instrumental in Ireland’s strong start to their Guinness Six Nations title defense.
A key member of the British and Irish Lions squad in 2021, Beirne was also named in World Rugby’s Men’s Team of the Year in 2024.
Expressing his excitement about the extension, Beirne stated: "It is a source of great pride to represent Ireland and Munster, and I am delighted to continue to do so for the foreseeable future."
Having made his Test debut in 2018 against Australia, the 33-year-old remains a crucial part of Ireland’s forward pack and is expected to play a pivotal role in their upcoming fixtures.
Leinster’s Garry Ringrose also secured his future with Ireland, signing a deal that extends his international career through the 2027-28 season.
The 30-year-old centre earned his 65th Test cap after coming off the bench in Ireland’s recent 32-18 victory over Scotland, having previously started in the hard-fought 27-22 win over England.
Sharing his enthusiasm for the future, Ringrose said: "I am delighted to extend my stay in Ireland with Leinster and I'm hugely excited about the future of Irish Rugby."
Having made his international debut against Canada in 2016, Ringrose has been a key player for both club and country, providing experience and leadership in Ireland’s backline.
IRFU performance director David Humphreys hailed both players as integral to Ireland’s continued success, describing them as "world-class" talents.
