Sean O'Brien to be on sidelines for eight to 12 weeks

Ireland and Leinster back-row Sean O’Brien will miss between eight to 12 weeks of action following a fractured arm that he sustained during the autumn international game against Argentina.

The 31-year-old left the field in the 32nd minute with pain and has now underwent a surgery that will put him on the sidelines for a lengthy period.

Meanwhile, O'Brien's Leinster team-mate Robbie Henshaw will also be out of action for between four to six weeks after suffering a hamstring injury during the warm-up ahead of the Argentina game.

The news will be a big blow for Leinster, who will also miss the services of Dan Leavy for the upcoming PRO14 match against Ospreys on Saturday with a neck injury.
