Scarlets and Wales prop Samson Lee has been suffered an injury setback after rupturing his Achilles tendon in training.

Lee has already back from South Africa early following the blow and will now meet a specialist to assess the extent of damage.

According to reports, the 29-year-old might be out of action for four up to six months which will effectively rule him out for the remainder of the season.

Lee has won 45 caps since making his international debut in 2013 and has played five times during the 2015 World Cup.

Meanwhile, Scarlets confirmed that "Javan Sebastian has joined the squad in Pretoria ahead of their URC match against the Vodacom Bulls on Friday evening."

Scarlets are positioned 12th in the United Rugby Championship table with four wins from 10 matches.
