Saracens have confirmed that Fiji international Eroni Mawi has signed a contract extension with the Gallagher Premiership club.

Mawi started his professional rugby career with Fijian Drua in 2017 before making a switch to Saracens ahead of the 2020/21 season and since then he has gone on to make 13 appearances for them.

A former Fijian Under 20, the 25-year-old made his Test debut for Fiji in 2018 and has gone on to play 15 Tests and was part of the 2019 World Cup campaign in Japan.

“Playing for Saracens is an honour and a privilege, but getting to re-sign is a dream come true and another opportunity for me to grow," he told the club's official website.

Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall is delighted to see Mawi remaining with the club.

“Eroni has settled in at the club really well and has impressed everyone with his application and diligence," he said.

"At 25 years old, we are confident that Eroni’s best days are in front of him and given his natural talent, it is exciting to see where he can take his game.”
