Sale Sharks prop Bevan Rodd has been called-up to the England squad ahead of their fixture against Australia to be played at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday.

Rodd made his professional rugby debut with Sale Sharks in 2019 and also had represented England at Under 18 level.

His inclusion comes after Joe Marler was withdrawn from the squad after he was tested positive for Covid-19 and will undergo 10-day isolation.

Marler came off the bench and played 14 minutes during England's game against Tonga but in a major relief for head coach Eddie Jones the rest of the players and backroom staff tested negative in the additional round of PCR testing.

"Eddie Jones has called Bevan Rodd into the England squad ahead of this weekend's test match against Australia," the RFU said in a statement
