Ireland head coach Andy Farrell has made a single change to his starting lineup for Friday’s Autumn Nations Series match against Argentina, bringing in experienced centre Robbie Henshaw in place of Bundee Aki.
Henshaw, who will earn his 75th cap, partners Garry Ringrose in the midfield for the Aviva Stadium showdown.
Farrell has included two uncapped Leinster players in the match-day squad, with Thomas Clarkson and Sam Prendergast named as replacements.
Veteran prop Cian Healy, meanwhile, is poised for a landmark appearance, expected to match Brian O’Driscoll’s record of 133 caps, placing him at the top of Ireland’s all-time appearance list.
Ireland’s back three remains unchanged, with Hugo Keenan at full-back and James Lowe and Mack Hansen on the wings.
Jamison Gibson-Park and Jack Crowley, who delivered a strong performance in previous matches, will again partner at half-back, maintaining a consistent setup as Ireland seeks continuity in their attacking strategy.
The starting forward pack remains intact as well, with the front row comprised of Andrew Porter, Rónan Kelleher, and Finlay Bealham. Joe McCarthy and James Ryan retain their roles in the second row, while Tadhg Beirne, Josh van der Flier, and captain Caelan Doris round out the starting forward unit.
Cian Healy’s anticipated milestone cap adds to the excitement surrounding the bench, which also includes Rob Herring, Clarkson, Ryan Baird, and Peter O’Mahony as forward reinforcements.
Healy, who debuted against Australia in 2009, stands as one of Ireland’s most seasoned players, embodying resilience and leadership on and off the pitch.
