Saracens have announced that Wales international Rhys Carre will be returning to the club ahead of the 2024/25 season.

The 26-year-old previously played for Saracens in the 2019/20 season and is currently on a second stint with Cardiff Rugby. He has made over 50 appearances for the Welsh province.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to pick up where I left off four years ago and to be a part of a squad with big expectations going forward!”

Carre made his Wales debut in 2019 and has 20 caps for his country. He was selected in the initial 54-player training squad for the 2023 World Cup but did not make it to the final squad.

“We are pleased to welcome Rhys back to the club and at 26 he is a player with his best days ahead of him," said Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall.

We witnessed his enormous talent first hand during his first spell at the club and he returns with more experience and the opportunity to fulfil his undoubted potential.”

Saracens are positioned fourth in the Gallagher Premiership table with seven wins from 12 matches.
