Saracens have announced the signing of prop Phil Brantingham on a long-term deal ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Brantingham began playing contact rugby at Morpeth RFC and had represented England Under 20 side in the past.

The 22-year-old made his Newcastle Falcons debut in January 2022 and captained them in a pre-season game. He has 25 appearances for the club since then.

“I’m really excited to be joining such a huge club at an exciting time in their journey," he told the club's official website.

"I can’t wait to rip in and build on the success of Saracens.”

Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall welcomed Brantingham to the club.

“We have tracked Phil for the last couple of years and we are very much looking forward to welcoming him to Saracens.

He is a young player with great potential and we believe he has the talent and the character to have a great impact at the club.”

Saracens are positioned fourth in the Gallagher Premiership table with seven wins from 12 matches.
