The postponed round nine Pro14 game between Connacht and Ospreys has now been rescheduled to 24th January with the Sportsground in Galway hosting the encounter.

The game was originally scheduled to be played on 28th November but was postponed after one player in the Welsh regional side squad returned positive for Covid-19.

"PRO14 Rugby would like to acknowledge the efforts made by all of our broadcasters and clubs to rearrange five fixtures over these upcoming weekends and take on the logistical challenges at such short notice. Without the willingness of everyone involved this would not have been possible," read a statement from Pro14.

Meanwhile, Pro14 also confirmed that the Round 14 fixture between Scarlets and Cardiff Blues at Parc Y Scarlets has been advanced to 23rd January after both the clubs agreed to facilitate an earlier date given the open slot in the calendar following the suspension of European competitions.

"This game was originally due be to played in February, but all parties involved agreed to facilitate moving this game to an earlier date given the availability in the calendar. The fixtures for R12 to 16 are now under final review and will be published in due course."
