Ospreys wing Keelan Giles is set to face a considerable amount of time on the sidelines following a knee injury.

The 20-year-old suffered the blow during Ospreys' recently concluded Pro 14 encounter against Dragons at the end of the third quarter and is now set to undergo a surgery.

Ospreys' medical performance manager Chris Towers confirmed the news on Giles in a statement released by the club.

"Keelan has sustained a significant knee ligament injury and will require reconstructive surgery," said Towers.

"We are currently in the process of seeking expert opinion to formulate the best course of management going forward, and will provide appropriate updates when necessary."

Ospreys are currently positioned sixth in Conference A of Pro 14 with just two wins from seven games.
