Saracens have officially confirmed that centre Olly Hartley has signed a new long-term contract, cementing his future at the StoneX Stadium.
The 23-year-old, who joined the club from Wasps in 2022, has quickly established himself as a key figure in the North London side’s setup.
Hartley made an immediate impression during his first full season, scoring seven tries and showcasing a dynamic presence in midfield.
Despite suffering an injury towards the end of the 2023/24 season, he returned to action with impact during the Premiership Rugby Cup, crossing the try line against Harlequins in his comeback match.
Before his move to Saracens, Hartley gained valuable experience with Championship side Ampthill, initially on loan from Wasps and later continuing to feature after his permanent transfer.
During his stint at Dillingham Park, he scored twice and displayed the kind of grit and determination that would later define his performances at the Premiership level.
His growth at club level was also recognised at the national stage. In February 2024, Hartley earned a call-up to the England A squad.
He featured off the bench in a commanding victory over Portugal, marking another milestone in what promises to be a promising international future.
"I’m buzzing to re-sign. To be honest, it was an easy decision. I’ve really enjoyed my time here so far, and I can’t wait for more.
"I’ve learned a lot from some quality players in my first few years, and now I’m keen to get stuck in with this younger core of players and see where we can go as a squad."
Saracens Director of Rugby Mark McCall expressed his delight at retaining one of the club’s brightest young talents.
"We are over the moon that Olly has extended his time at the club. He has shown real strength of character over the last 18 months to overcome serious injury and we are certain Olly has all it takes to realise his incredible potential.”
