Highlanders continued their winning streak as they ran a nine-try riot to thrash Stormers by 57-14 in their Super Rugby encounter at Forsyth Barr Stadium on Friday.

After number eight Nizaam Carr got Stormers off the mark with a seventh minute try, Patrick Osborne (11' and 21'), Waisake Naholo (17'), Liam Squire (29') and Rob Thompson (38') crossed over for Highlanders with Marty Banks adding conversions on three occasions to take the scoreline to 31-7 at the end of the first half.

The onslaught from Highlanders continued as Naholo (54'), Dillon Hunt (64'), Greg Pleasants-Tate (70') and Matt Faddes (80') rumbled past the post to seal a 57-14 victory for Highlanders.

This is also Highlanders' sixth win in nine games but they continue to be fourth in the New Zealand Conference while Stormers remain at the top of the Africa 1 Conference despite their third successive defeat this season.
