Newcastle reveal new crest and new name

A new name. A new crest. A new kit. A new chapter.

The Newcastle Red Bulls today revealed their striking new club crest and playing kits.

This Friday night marks a historic first outing under the Red Bull banner, as the team host Harlequins in the PREM Rugby Cup. Kick-off is at 7.45pm, with the Red Bulls proudly wearing their all-black home strip, showcasing the bold new crest.

The badge features the North Star — a symbol of guidance and a nod to the club’s position as the league’s northernmost side. Two charging bulls embody energy and forward momentum, while the design also weaves in a rugby ball and the iconic Tyne Bridge.

Alongside the home kit, the Red Bulls have also launched a gold away strip, honouring the club’s heritage. Black and gold were the colours worn during their famous 1997–98 Premiership title win — still the only time a newly promoted team has claimed the top-flight crown in their debut season.
