Newcastle Falcons have bolstered their back-row options after signing Fiji international Nemani Nagusa ahead of the 2018/19 season of Gallagher Premiership.
The 30-year-old becomes the seventh new signing by the club ahead of the new season with George McGuigan (Leicester Tigers), Logovi’i Mulipola (Leicester Tigers), Guy Graham (Hawick), Tom Arscott (Rouen), Connor Collett (North Harbour) and Johnny Williams (London Irish) already slotted to join them.
Nagusa has featured in 16 Tests for Fiji since his debut in 2012 and recently helped them to their fourth consecutive Pacific Nations Cup title. He will join the Falcons ahead of the pre-season subject to receiving a work permit.
“Nemani is an exciting player with pace, power and handling ability,” said director of rugby Dean Richards.
“He is part of a strong Fiji side who are making big strides on the international scene, he has that X-factor about him and we look forward to his arrival once the work permit process has been completed.”
