New Zealand Rugby has unveiled the domestic Test schedule for 2025, headlined by a blockbuster double-header at Wellington Regional Stadium on July 12.
The Black Ferns and All Blacks will share the spotlight in an action-packed season featuring nine matches across the country.
The Black Ferns will kick off their World Cup preparations with three home Tests, while the All Blacks will host six matches, including back-to-back clashes against South Africa.
The Black Ferns’ domestic campaign begins in May with two Pacific Four Series Tests. They will face defending champions Canada in Christchurch at Rugby League Park, followed by a match against the USA at North Harbour Stadium in Albany. The team will conclude their home fixtures with an O’Reilly Cup clash against Australia in Wellington.
Director of Rugby Allan Bunting emphasized the importance of these matches, saying: “It doesn’t get any bigger than a World Cup year, but the foundations of our year will be laid here in Aotearoa with the support of our fans, friends, and whanau.
"Australia, Canada, and USA will be crucial Tests, and the double-header in Wellington will be a fitting finale to our domestic schedule.”
The Black Ferns’ games will have family-friendly kickoff times, with Pacific Four Series matches starting at 3:35 PM and the O’Reilly Cup Test at 4:30 PM.
The All Blacks’ season begins in Dunedin with a high-stakes match against France, the first of three July Tests against Les Bleus. The team will also play two back-to-back games against South Africa, promising a thrilling contest between the sport's giants.
The Wellington double-header will see the All Blacks play their second match against France, immediately following the Black Ferns’ O’Reilly Cup game.
