Montpellier 22 - 16 Leinster, Altrad Stadium
Fiji international Nemani Nadolo scored a try apiece in each half as Montpellier managed to defeat Leinster by 22-16 in their European Champions Cup encounter at Altrad Stadium on Sunday.
After both teams struggled to open their account in the first 24 minutes, wing Isa Nacewa got Leinster off the mark with a penalty. However, that's the only success, Leo Cullen's men enjoyed in the first half.
Centre Vincent Martin and Nadolo strolled across the post in a span of seven minutes while fly-half Frans Steyn converted both the tries to take Montpellier to 14-3 at half-time.
After Steyn and Nacewa exchanged penalties in the second half, Nadolo crossed over for the second time in the game in the 58th minute to take Jake White's team to 22 points.
Despite, Nacewa waging a lone fight, after adding a penalty and a converted try, Leinster managed only 16 points - all of which were scored by their captain that prevented them from losing the bonus point.
The six-point win is Montpellier's first win in the tournament and they are placed third in Pool 4 table. Leinster continue to top the table despite the defeat.
Montpellier will take on Castres Olympique in their next round while Leinster will lock horns with Northampton Saints .
