England will be without the services of winger Max Malins for the upcoming fixture against Canada to be played at Twickenham Stadium next Saturday following a shoulder injury.

The 24-year-old sustained the blow during the game against the USA where he was replaced in the 10th minute by Jacob Umaga.

Malins will undergo further assessment to know the extent of the damage with England coach Eddie Jones deciding against naming a replacement.

“Max Malins has withdrawn from the England squad after suffering a shoulder ligament injury in last week’s game against the USA," read a statement from the Rugby Football Union.

"Malins will see a specialist later this week to further assess the injury. Eddie Jones will not call up a replacement player.”

Jones following the 43-29 win over the USA revealed an update on Malins.

“Malins has an AC joint injury, so he’ll probably be out for a couple of weeks,” he said.
