Leinster Rugby 57-0 Gloucester Rugby, Dublin

Leinster came up with a nine try riot as they blanked out Gloucester Rugby 57-0 in the second round of the Heineken Champions Cup in Dublin on Friday.

This is second win for Leinster in as many games as they claim the top of Pool A table while Gloucester are at sixth position after losing their first match of the competition.

Gloucester suffered an early setback as George Barton left the field injured and was replaced in the 10th minute and soon the home side opened their account with Josh van der Flier and Caelan Doris combining to send Lowe in the corner for the opening try.

The home side doubled their tally in the 19th minute as van der Flier touched down at the back of a driving maul and Ross Byrne kicked and missed a conversion apiece taking their lead to 12-0.

Leinster further extended their lead as Ross Molony sent a perfect offload for Ronan Kelleher to score and Gloucester's problems compounded with Henry Walker was sin-binned for a high tackle in the 36th minute.

With the numerical advantage on their side, Leinster finished a dominating opening half with further tries from James Ryan and Kelleher to extend their lead to 31-0.

Leinster came close to scoring in the second half but Lowe's try was chalked down but soon Luke McGrath went over with Byrne improving it to make it 38-0. Gloucester's indiscipline costed them dearly as prop Ciaran Knight was yellow carded and soon Lowe completed his second to make it 43-0.

With no further response from the Cherry and Whites, Jordan Larmour and Caelan Doris scored further tries as they completed a convincing 57-0 victory.
