Exeter Chiefs have confirmed the signing of Wallabies centre Len Ikitau on a nine-month contract ahead of the 2025/26 Premiership Rugby season.

The 26-year-old brings with him a wealth of international experience, having earned 39 caps for Australia, and is expected to strengthen the Chiefs’ midfield with his blend of defensive toughness and attacking flair.

Ikitau has been a standout performer in Super Rugby with the ACT Brumbies, known for his spatial awareness, strong defensive reads, and ability to unlock defences with creative runs.

His arrival marks another marquee addition for Exeter as they continue reshaping their squad to compete both domestically and in Europe.

Speaking about his move, Ikitau said: “My family considers us very lucky to get to have this experience abroad with a club that is so iconic and respected, not to mention a place that loves its rugby with passionate fans.”

He added that he's excited to take on the challenge of Premiership Rugby and hopes to contribute to Exeter’s ambitions during his stay.

Director of Rugby Rob Baxter welcomed the signing, noting that Ikitau’s versatility in playing both inside and outside centre would offer tactical depth and leadership in the backline.

Baxter emphasised the importance of adding proven international players to maintain the club’s competitiveness at the top level.

Ikitau becomes the third Australian to sign with the club in recent months, joining hooker Julian Heaven and back-row forward Tom Hooper.

Exeter’s recruitment drive also includes South Africa’s Joseph Dweba, Gloucester’s Charlie Chapman, and Italy scrum-half Stephen Varney.
